Johannesburg International Airport
Johannesburg International Airport is the main entry point for tourists coming to South Africa. Johannesburg International offers a high service level as can be expected from any international airport in the world. Situated about 25km from Johannesburg city centre (CBD) and 35km from Sandton City Centre
Johannesburg City Centre (CBD)
Johannesburg City Centre is a vibrant juxtaposition of the first world and the third world. The central part of Jo'burg (as it is known), whose tall skyscrapers are today a grimy reminder of a previous era of commerce, has been returned to Africa. Vendors display shiny fruit and vegetables, young women scoop out pap (maize) and sauce, and Indian merchants sell gaudy clothing. The crime rate in this area is high, so visitors are encouraged to take sensible precautions: walk in a group; do not carry valuables; and don't walk around at night or over weekends when the crowds dissipate.
Sandton City
Sandton City is in the Centre of Sandton - The ultimate shopping experience in a world of its own, at Sandton City there is something for everyone from the adventurous to the discriminating, the trendy to the discerning. Sandton City is the destination where international shoppers feel at home and local shoppers get away from it all.
Well it is a shopping mall so shop till you drop because they have everything here.
Goods are generally quiet pricey here but note that they are generally of good quality. They have got all your designer stores here.
